Primary Purpose:

Serve as the primary administrative assistant to the high school principal while coordinating the efficient operation of campus administrative functions. Provide advanced administrative, financial, records, and operational support. Coordinate campus office procedures and workflow. Facilitate communication among campus staff, students, parents, central administration, and the community.

 

Qualifications:

Education

High school diploma or GED

Associate degree or some college preferred

               

Special Knowledge/Skills

Proficient keyboarding, records management, and office technology skills

Strong knowledge of office practices, procedures, and equipment

Ability to use software to develop spreadsheets, databases, reports, and correspondence

Ability to maintain accurate and auditable records

Knowledge of basic accounting principles, purchasing procedures, and budget practices

Knowledge of district policies, procedures, and administrative practices preferred

Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities, meet deadlines, and adjust to changing priorities

Ability to exercise independent judgment and discretion within established guidelines

Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information appropriately

Ability to provide guidance to campus clerical staff regarding established procedures and priorities

Effective organizational, communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills

 

Experience

Three years progressively responsible clerical experience, preferably in a public education environment
